Extruder Manufacturer on Prospect and Development Trend of Plastic Extruder Export

Nowadays, the main equipment of plastic industry is divided into injection molding machines, plastic extruders and blow molding machines,  Among them, the market share of plastic extruders has reached more than 80% of the whole plastic machinery, and has long stood at the top place. From the industry situation in 2017, we found that Chinas plastic industry in general maintains a slight upward trend, while major domestic extruder manufacturers   are sparing no effort in research of higher efficiency and energy saving extruders, which ensures the sustainable development of the industry.

According to the data of plastic industry equipment export in 2017, the growth rate of Chinas plastic extruder export has reached 49.1% compared with the previous year, which is higher than that of other thermoforming machines except vacuum molding machines. Vietnam has become a "dark horse" in terms of export destination, together with the United States, rounding out the top two export destinations of plastic machines in China, where the amount of plastic machines exported to the United States increased by 19% and the amount exported to Vietnam increased by 14.1%.

Although the export situation in 2017 looks good by judging from the big data, there has been a sharp drop in the market price of extruders made in China. The poor quality of low-end products and price war have reduced the competitiveness and image of Chinas plastic extruder industry, seriously affecting the development of present plastic machinery industry in China. However,  China extruder manufacturers are paying more and more attention to the technological research and development of equipment. At present, single screw plastic extruder and conical twin screw plastic extruder still tops the catalogue in our country. The technology is developing ,although the market share is temporarily maintained at the historical peak of about 55%.

At the U.S. market, single screw extruders still account for the largest proportion of the market thanks to its characteristics of low energy consumption and low cost.  and ,with the development of technology, some extruders can even achieve the efficiency ratio of a twin screw extruder. Thanks to high technology content (large diameter, optimized length-diameter ratio, smooth exhaust, etc.), now it can be applied to those applications  originally requiring twin screw extruders.

Because the development of domestic extruder industry is somewhat unbalanced, the research and development of parallel and opposite twin screw extruder technology may become the focus in the future, which can enhance the overall market competitiveness of domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, the sixth and seventh generation of high-speed and high length-diameter ratio may become the future development trend.

With the increasing efforts of the state in environmental protection, enterprises need to conduct in-depth research in this area in the future. As Du Xuanyi, a reporter with China Environmental Daily, has reported:  The Ministry of Environmental Protection had recently continuously informed Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and surrounding areas of the intensified supervision and inspection results regarding air pollution prevention and control. From January 10 to 13, 28 supervision teams inspected 1811 enterprises (units) and found that 75 of them had gas-related environmental problems. From January 12 to 13, 28 supervision teams and 102 inspection teams inspected 2255 specific emergency warning response points of heavy polluted weather in "2 + 26" cities, and found that 21 enterprises (units) had gas-related environmental problems. Two Rubber Extruders in one of the enterprises involved are found to be unqualified (I will not disclose the name of specific enterprises here).
